If you want to organize a book drive …
Many of our books are donated during school book drives sponsored by parents, students, teachers and/or librarians. You can help by organizing a book drive in your school. We welcome participation by other organizations as well. Girl and Boy Scouts, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, churches, college clubs and many others have successfully started a library through the African Library Project.
Using our book drive guidelines, your organization would collect, sort, pack and then mail the books to our warehouse where they will be containerized for shipment to Africa. Your goal is to collect 1,000 appropriate books and the approximately $500 it costs to ship them.
