Why Give?
As a small non-profit, we rely on general giving donations to continue our work. All donor contributions strengthen the support toward systemic change in literacy and education on the African continent.
What Will My Gift Support?
Donations help support various operational expenses. Here are our main programs and suggested values for deciding what you would like to fund for.
- Supply new libraries with the teacher-librarian manual, “How to Setup a Small Library in Africa” ($8.20/each, we try to create 360 new libraries annually)
- Purchase and ship health education materials focused on communicable diseases.
- $100 will cover one container’s shipment of STEM books from the Junior African Writers Series (as a supplementary gift to new libraries).
- $165 will cover one month’s expense for performing our library survey. In 2023, we’re surveying ALP libraries in Botswana, Uganda, and Malawi.
