Partner Opportunities
At the African Library Project, we are inspired by the many individuals, schools, and organizations across continents who share our commitment to literacy. We love hearing from communities that want to bring books and libraries to their children, and we’re grateful for the passion and dedication you show in making literacy a priority.
Where We Work
ALP is currently active in seven Anglophone countries in Sub-Saharan Africa:
Botswana · Ghana · Kenya · Lesotho · Malawi · South Africa · Uganda

If You’re in a Partner Country
If your organization is located in one of our current partner countries, we encourage you to connect directly with the in-country partner organization listed on our website. These partners coordinate the selection and distribution of libraries in their regions.

If You’re Outside of Our Current Partner Countries
At this time, ALP is not expanding into new countries or regions, and we are only able to work in English-speaking (Anglophone) countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
We deeply appreciate your work and your commitment to literacy. While we cannot provide books outside our current network, we encourage you to:

Staying in Touch
Although ALP cannot partner everywhere we’d like yet, we believe in the power of collaboration and continue to grow thoughtfully. Each of our partner organizations meets specified criteria to ensure that every library is well-supported and sustainable.
If we’re not currently active in your country, we encourage you to stay connected. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, or sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on ALP’s work.
